In addition to our harness business we are small lavender farmers. We have been growing french lavender ( Lavendula dentata) for over thirty years.  Our harvest time is now in late winter through spring. All of our lavender is used exclusively for our pet products . Our goats and horses are busy with their pack saddles hauling large quantities of lavender flowers to our still . We distill the flowers for the essential oil and hydrosol we use in our flea sprays ,etc..

This year we are blessed with lots of sunshine and cool days , perfect for lavender harvest. However we desperately need rain ! Well I had better get back to the fields with our pack goats in tow.
