I thought I would take a moment an explain why we don't use bits in our driving harnesses. Our goat harnesses are sold complete with a driving halter and set of twelve foot reins. It is our opinion goats do not require bits for control while in harness. Simple pressure left and right and back on their nose is adequate for control while in harness. A general rule of goats , they are very bright and easily trained . Now there are exceptions in every situation ( I have trained a few in years past) but in general a well trained goat in harness is easily controlled by just nose pressure . Goats in harness should recognize and fully understand different voice commands ( ie.. step up, whoa, gee, and haw). In the almost twenty years I have been using goats in harness we have never needed a bit in their mouth for further control.
