Spring is here in many parts of the country and it is time for packing. The smell of fresh green grass and wildflowers are a clear indicator of packing season.

Imagine a stroll down a grass path with your favorite packing partner in tow.

After a long grinding winter , our goat and horse and donkey packing partners need to have a slow introduction to packing on the trail. Start out with small short hikes and build to longer ones once their muscles have a chance to stretch and get warmed up. 

Here on our small farm we use our pack goats for small everyday chores. A lot of our pack goats carry cut lavender in their panniers or sometimes they carry fence tools to fix fences. There are plenty of chores on any homestead a pack goat,horse or donkey can assist with.
