It says spring is here on the calender but from where we are located in California it is still in the grip of winter. We just went through another wet and wild storm.

Here on our small farm we had healthy gigantic monterey pine trees just fall over and huge root masses sticking up out of the mud. I have lived here my whole life and have never seen huge trees just pull up out of the mud like this.

The ground is just too saturated and will not hold the weight of the tree anymore. Hopefully  we are due a couple of days of sun and then we are in  for another storm next week. Batten down the hatches if you live in northern California.
